DISCLAIMER: Disgraceland has a more mature theme. There is violence and language. Disgraceland is not recommended for those under 14 years of age. The world is grounded more in a sense of reality to better show off the basic functions, but you are of course free to make it as wild as you want.
Disgraceland was developed over many months. Complete with custom characters, territories, maps, lore, culture, calendar, economy, history, over 300+ images and so much more, in order to fully illustrate the grand scope capable of creating within Obsidian.
Make it your own. Take it apart to see how it’s built
and create a sprawling interactive universe or expand on Disgraceland
to get a better sense of world-building. The possibilites are endless.
F.A.Q
Yes, absolutely! That’s the whole idea! Use Disgraceland as a guide – or starting point – to create your own large-scale, immersive world.
100%. Even if you’re new to Obsidian, you can load this vault and start exploring. The vault itself is designed to show you how everything fits together.
Nope, not at all. Disgraceland is a fully fictional universe. Everything from the characters, locations, lore, maps, all of it, is all 100% fictonal.
Yes. This vault demonstrates how I personally use a handful of popular Obsidian plugins to enhance functionality. These are all free, commonly used plugins that are easy to install directly from the Obsidian Community Plugins library.
The Disgraceland Vault makes use of a curated selection of community plugins to enhance usability, creativity, and customization. All plugins included are free and sourced from the official Obsidian plugin library. Here’s a full list:

- Calendarium – A powerful custom calendar system for worldbuilding and alternative timelines.
- Charts – Create beautiful and responsive charts inside Obsidian.
- Chronos Timeline – Visualize timelines and historical events for your universe.
- DataCards – Display structured information as visually styled cards.
- Dataview – Query your vault like a database and auto-generate content from metadata.

- Homepage – Lets you define and auto-open a home dashboard on startup.
- Iconize – Adds icons to folders and files for better visual navigation.
- Leaflet – Embed interactive maps directly into your vault (perfect for regions like Charspire or Ashmoor).
- Media Extended – Enhanced playback support for audio, video, and images.

Each plugin has been preconfigured and styled to work seamlessly with the Disgraceland aesthetic. No premium plugins are used, and all are free to install via the Community Plugin browser in Obsidian. All plug-in credit goes to the original authors.
Technically yes, but you’ll lose some of the more advanced features and visual presentation. The plugins are part of what makes the system powerful.
All the images in Disgraceland were initially created using ChatGPT Pro, then edited in Adobe Illustrator as needed. The images aren’t meant to be the focus. They are essentially just placeh0lders to show the user where the images can go. The images can be replaced with anything.
